This is so interesting! It's fun to see how names like "Anna" are popular across so many age groups!

Cool! Lo's name is under "names with the widest age spreads" and so is one of our contenders for a girl name should we have another girl. Can't find mine, dh's, or our top boy name but now I'm thinking about looking that boy name up more.

Interesting! It thinks my 1 year old is a bit over 5, but yeah it's definitely a 'younger' name at the moment. So is his little brother's, but those tend to just be the kind of names my DH and I like. Although despite the popularity of the name Declan on the internet, in real life people look at me like I've grown a second head when I tell them what his name will be.

I love Violet so much but had it ruined by a Violet from the older generation. Sigh. Not that it matters anyways since I only have boys, haha! My name isn't on there but it's definitely 80s, was #24 the year I was born and is now wayyyy down in the 500s!

@cmomma17: Elmer is actually a family name for me!
Had we had a boy, I still would have been hard pressed to use it.

I've always guessed at someone's age based on their name. When naming our lo's dating them was something I wanted to avoid.

Cool! My LO's middle name is violet. I liked it enough for it to be her first but dh liked it as a middle.

That's really interesting! C's name made the list (bimodal). But I knew that when we named her- it was number 7 in 1880 or something and is creeping up the charts now. My name totally dates me- almost every girl with my name you will meet was born in the early 80s.

This article is pretty cool. My name is not in it, but I know it gained popularity in the 70s.

Some stats from it:

Half of living American Brittanys are between the ages of 19 and 25.6

The median Emily is just 17 years old; the median Dorothy is 74.

For instance, almost half of living Lisas are now in their 40s, meaning that they were born at some point between 1964 and 1973.
