@blackbird: thanks and good to know about the sam's club version. We have done RTF so far and now have some powder samples from the doctor's office.

@regberadaisy: thanks. I think we will try doing that going forward.

The toughest part of this is that I feel so guilty! And I know I will be sad to not have that connection. I just think it will make life a little more flexible and less stressful for me, her, and her dad. DH is so involved and would step up even more I think. He's worried about me not getting enough sleep from feeding her in the night and would definitely share that responsibility.

When I supplemented my first I always did BM bottles then formula bottles. We used Similac a Soy so I think Similac is a perfectly good brand unless you want organic.

If your LO already takes formula bottles, I would just add in more formula bottles. Doesn't sound like she will refuse them! As far as formula goes, they're all basically the same. We did the store brand sams version of similac and it was really inexpensive (same thing, though!)

LO is four months and I'm hoping to continue to BF until 6 months. We're already supplementing when necessary - I don't have much of a freezer stash and have been traveling.

I want to move to exclusively FF by the time she's about six months - six weeks from now. It's so hard to find info on the web.

I am not getting a lot from pumping and it's very inconvenient at work. I am full of anxiety about this and adjusting to work. I really thing that ending pumping would help that.

I'm looking for tips - do I just mix bm and formula? Which is what I have been doing when I need to stretch my supply from time to time. Or do I have some bf sessions, some BM bottles, some ff bottles and just slowly increase the amount of formula bottles?

And lastly - we use similac because that's what the hospital had. The ped says thy are okay with it too. Should I be researching other formulas? Is this a good one?

Clearly I am a little anxious about this topic. Just want to do the right thing for my girl. I think having a good plan will help me chill out a little.

Any advice, links/resources, or anecdotes would be helpful! Thanks!
