Same, except I work from home Mondays so my freezer stash is used for Tuesdays. And if we're traveling or for a bottle at church every Sunday.

@kayakgirl73: I am so terrified of that scenario - i just started a thread about it! I just printed out this kellymom post just in case. http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/milkstorage/frozen-milk-power-outage/

You guys are starting to freak me out about losing power!

I have 12 bags of reserve. I freeze what I pump each day and put it at the end, and send the oldest bag of frozen milk to daycare. I EP so DD only gets fresh milk on Sat and Sun when I don't bother to bag it

I freeze Friday's output and use Freezer stash for Monday and if I'm short. My freezer stash is not huge and most days I'm just able to pump enough to cover what she eats, so the stash is going down. I hope we don't lose power. We're on tap for really bad storms today and tomorrow.

@sotofamilia: Seriously!! I had just been using Friday's pump session for Monday, but freezing it and using frozen for Monday makes so much more sense! <3 Hellobee ladies and their great suggestions!

@regberadaisy: Oh, that's such a good idea! I hadn't started using my stash yet because it's supposed to be good for 6 months in the freezer, but cycling through is smart. I think I'm going to start doing this!

Frozen milk is only good for up to X months depending on your storage methods so I would def start using it. I know a lot of ladies like to take out frozen milk for Mondays then freeze whatever they pump on Fridays. That way you're using the old stuff but still replenishing.

Hi everybody! My little guy is almost four months and I just started back to work last week.

So far, I've been able to pump to keep up with what he needs for the next day. I built up a somewhat meager freezer stash (like, between 60 and 70 ounces) while I was on maternity leave and I'm not quite sure how to use it now. Like, should I rotate it in with the fresh milk? Should I keep it frozen and use it on days that I don't pump enough? Or keep it for purees when he starts eating solids?

My fear is that the power is going to go out in my house and then all that beautiful milk will be wasted, so I don't want to keep too big of a stash!

How do you/did you use your frozen milk?
