We don't CD anymore but we do use CD swim diapers since it's so much cheaper. We just wash them with the rest of his swim stuff, normal cycle with regular detergent. We haven't had a number two in one yet but I would rinse it out before putting it in the washing machine.

The cd store where i bought mine said normal wash is fine sonce there is no absorbant part that could start to repel. I have only had one poopy one...dumped it in the toilet just like normal and washed it. No issues at all. I actually try not to wash mine with my cds because i dont wany chemicals from the pool on the rest of my diapers.

Have a fun trip!

We haven't faced a poo issue but we wash the swim diapers with a normal load of laundry and haven't had any issues.

I think we just did a normal cycle. If there was poo, I used a hose outside for that so it was pretty clean before going into the wash.

@ValentineMommy: good question. M just had her first swim diaper poop (it was gross). I just washed it on a normal cycle with our normal detergent and I'm pretty sure it turned out fine!

We normally cd, but this is our first summer going to the beach for a week. I want to use our cloth swim diapers, but I'm not sure how to wash them (especially if he poops in one). We are going the disposable route for diapers while on vacation, but the house we will be staying at has a washer and dryer. Can I wash his cloth swim diapers in a normal type cycle (and with normal detergent?)? Or do they need a more vigorous washing, like normal cds?

Is this a dumb question?? lol....I think I need more coffee this morning.
