I make turkey breasts all the time, I thaw it and put it in a roasting bag after putting some butter on it and in the oven with carrots/onions/potatoes, the bag keeps it super moist and then you don't have to baste every 30 minutes. I season it depending on my mood!

We buy a frozen turkey, then we use a spice rub and roast our turkey in the oven. We make gravy out of the turkey drippings.

Oven roasted, covered by a cheesecloth, basted every 20 minutes.

Always the smallest bird I can find. The big ones are impossible to cook and are stringy.

DH always makes the turkey!

We always brine and he cooks it the same way his dad does and his dad did. Hot and fast and baste every 20 minutes. The result is a really juicy and tender bird. And we always but onions, celery and carrots in the pan and use the drippings to make gravy.

We deep fry ours with cajun spices. We have an infrared fryer. It's so much easier to deal with than the oil!

We always roasted our turkeys growing up, but now DH fries them. So good, and so much quicker than roasting.

i bought a small frozen turkey today even though we're going to my brother's for thanksgiving, it was cheap, haha. i've never bought a frozen one before, i was reading how to thaw it to cook and read you can cook it frozen! wha?!?! that's amazing! who knew?? i think i'm gonna let it thaw though so it'll cook faster.

how you you cook your turkey, grill it? fry it? roast it? smoke it? do you brine it? frozen or fresh? tell me about your bird!
