We are so so lucky to have her.<br /> DH quit his job to start a company and we lived very close to the bone for a few months there, but he's been extraordinarily successful and will have tripled his 2014 salary this year. I'm so proud of how hard he has been working to take care of all of his girls. His efforts have made it possible for me to be home without straining our lifestyle.<br /> Thank goodness because we found out in June that I was already ten weeks pregnant with baby girl #3 which puts me out of work for a while longer.<br /> Being pregnant and running after a 2.5 year old and a very early walking baby proved challenging but I've been blessed with an easy pregnancy.<br /> We've spent almost all of December sick so I'm hoping better health blesses us this week before baby sister arrives the week after.<br /> We have so very much to be grateful for this year that I can't imagine next year being any better. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/how-was-2015/page/2#post-2407213 Sat, 02 Jan 2016 12:44:33 +0000 FaithFertility 2407213@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>Really good! We lived with my parents for six months then bought our first home together but those were some long months. We lost a few family members. We had to travel for weddings I wasn't that enthused about- his friends/family. We both had really crazy times at work. Started the year by selling our first home and moving into a much better situation which has been awesome. DH passed a big test for work. The kids continued to grow and be fairly amazing - 2 and 1 now. :) I made it to my goal of nursing past a year. Ended the year with a positive pregnancy test and hopes for a sweet baby in 2016.</p> <p>This year saw us with lots of sickness - stomach flu for all of us twice, influenza for all of us, croup for DS, ear infections, other colds, stitches for DD. That has been rough because usually we're not so sick. Hoping for a healthier 2016!</p> <p>My grandma died in July, and my 30 year old cousin passed away in August. DH's grandpa just died the day after Christmas. My grandma passed away Jan 18, and throughout the winter I struggled with my job and lonnngggg fruitless cycles of TTC after a miscarriage. In April I was diagnosed with PCOS and DH was diagnosed with low morphology. I honestly thought that was it, TTC game over. We conceived about one week after this news. The pregnancy stuck and I'm now 37w4d weeks pregnant, due Jan 19, a year and a day after my grandma's passing. We spent the summer traveling to see friends and family, as well as the California coast. Our marriage was not in tip top shape, I got sick while pregnant and it affected me until the day I delivered even though it wasn't actually because of the pregnancy. We've had a lot of little illnesses since dd started school and cold/flu season started. Ds had to be in the hospital a couple days which was ok but scary at the moment and very tiring. But we are ending the year on a trip visiting family and our years of saving for dh's paternity leave has paid off... And we have the sweetest most amazing new baby boy who we'd hoped would be here in the beginning of the year but was so worth the wait and the rough pregnancy! My dad died fall 2014 and for the first 3 months I was kinda in h-e-double hockey sticks. During this time we found out DH had been the victim of serious federal crimes two decades prior. It took hundreds of hours of me working on the case and then thousands to hire the best attorney, and although we won in court we'll never see recovery for the thousands seized... It was such a difficult period of stress, insanity (agency we were dealing with!), and disturbing unknowns and a lack of justice... DH randomly lost his job. But going through that, knowing I can survive my worst fears, kinda feels amazing! All that legal work gave me a lot of confidence, people were there for me at my lowest points, and my dad's death made me appreciate people and life like there's no tomorrow. What don't kill you makes you tough as nails. Then good things started happening. We got a townhouse, I worked on my craft to manage my stress and improved drastically, landed some good shows, and now we're expanding our family. I'm calling 2015 a great year!</p> <p>Edit: all the big stuff was great, but there were hard things, too. Pregnancy is really hard on my body, for example. T got evaluated and approved for EI. We've spent almost this entire year obsessed with milestones, crawling, walking, tests, his health etc. It's been stressful and I had some tough moments...but all in all, he's healthy and catching up well. We celebrated LO's first birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary. I went back to work outside the home on a very part time basis this fall and it's been good for me. DH has had the past two weeks off which has allowed us some much needed family time after a very busy few months for him at work. Having DS2 in our lives is so fun and such a blessing. I had such a hard time with DS1 for a lot of the year though - combo of 3s and new baby and he is so stinking willful. Work is good all around and we moved into our new home right after Christmas, so that was pretty awesome. But I have had 3 miscarriages since September, which has sucked. I think I have been so extremely busy that it literally went by in the blink of an eye. This has been the fastest year of my life. Ds was born happy and healthy in April after some scares and lots of monitoring. He is seriously the best baby ever. Dd keeps growing and surprises me with her wit and intelligence daily, but 2.5-3.5 has been HARD. She is so stubborn!! I had some health issues and just had surgery. Also, super stressful interviewing process as I apply for residencies. Super excited to see where 2016 will take us though.
