The excruciating pain at latch on is starting to fade a bit now, but I was totally unprepared for the afterbirth cramps during every feed for the first several days! With my second, easy breezy. Hope it's the same for you when that time comes. I think experience matters a lot. It was definitely less stressful and more successful early on even if I still had to supplement the first week b/c of weight drop. He didn't latch well and when he did, he was drinking but constantly seem uncomfortable. I pumped to get my supply up, took all sorts of herbs, teas, drank tons of water, etc but never seemed to have enough. Also had many many clogged ducts which made the experience that much more stressful.</p> <p>With DS2, its been AMAZING. UH-MAY-ZING. He's almost 7 months and I haven't dealt with any major clogged ducts, supply issues, or latching problems.
