@skibobrown: True. I just hate having to deal with the hard sale when you try and cancel something. They are probably used to people leaving and won't make a big deal of it.

We're switching daycares right now too, but not b/c of any disagreements with our current daycare. We are moving an hour away, so we needed to find a daycare near our new home. Maybe if you just tell your current daycare that you need to find something closer to home, they won't be offended. Mine certainly wasn't.

We are in the process of trying to find a new daycare for our LO. I'm not unhappy with our current daycare but I'm not happy either. Some issues are:
1. LO is still in the infant room eventhough he is 13.5 months old (so we are still paying $30 a week more than we should)
2. He has a biting issue which I think stems from the fact that he is still in the infant room. He plays with a toy and all the tiny babies swarm him to take it. (Think Seinfield scene where Kramer gets attacked by the kids from his dojo)
3. It adds 30 minutes (each way) to my commute

So, we are trying to find a place closer to home. How hard is it to break up with your current daycare? I hate confrontation.
