It was a holiday for us, so it was great besides DS waking super early.

Tomorrow will be rough after three days off. He's planning on watching a movie in the morning and I had to keep reminding him it is a school day.

Awesome, it was a holiday here. DD1 slept until nine, the babies were up at eight and DH made fresh blueberry muffins. Perfect weather too!

It was good! She has a dance class that she loves on Mondays so they are usually a good day (good bribe material). We walked to class because it was so nice out and the baby fell asleep on the way home so we played at the park for an got while she slept.

And today makes one full week without a single potty accident!!

Cranky morning for LO - she didn't want to wake up and then wasn't happy that she had little say in her outfit (I needed her to wear clothes appropriate for her school outing to the beach and it was a cold day!). I needed her to hustle bc I still needed to pack her lunch for school (usually she comes home for lunch).

But once we got dressed and came downstairs for breakfast she was fine.

But then I scratched the front of the car on my way out of the garage and was upset about that. Fortunately the scratch buffed out easily and I was able to run some errands and visit with a friend. So even though both LO and I had a rough start to our day it ended up being a great morning overall

It's a long weekend for us, and B slept until almost 7. My husband went out and got McMuffins and Starbucks then took B to the park while W napped on me, then they came home and we played in the bounce house. It was great.

Hubs is out of town this week, but mornings I fly solo anyway. Other than me getting up a little late we did okay. Today was LO's first day in her new classroom, so it took a few extra minutes to get situated but she was happy and comfortable in the new class. I teared up a bit... she's growing too fast!

It was really bad (at least with E). Trying to get him dressed and out the door was like trying to bathe a cat, with lots of yelling and tears on both sides. I felt so bad leaving him at preschool like that.

Terrible. H was off her schedule after a weekend with her grandparents, so she went to bed late and woke up early. Tantrum city. She wouldn't eat breakfast and kicked her shoes off, so the entire ride to daycare was a huge scream-fest. I just got notice from her daycare that she barely napped.

I'm kind of happy that I have to work late tonight and DH gets to deal with the toddler.

Also, there is an ant problem in my house.

Surprisingly, I was the only one who didn't have it together this morning. We all drove back from my bff's wedding weekend last night (getting in around 10:30pm), so DD and DS had a laaaate bedtime. I was probably in bed at 11:30.

DH was transitioning from day shifts to night shifts, so he stayed up until about 7am but he must have been super bored so he made us omelettes! Which has never ever happened before. Of course, the one day I was not in the mood for a pre-work breakfast. I ate it to encourage good behavior though ;)

Kids were no trouble at all this morning, considering the late bedtime.

And I've been dragging all day at work. I had a relatively productive morning, but I'm half way delirious so... can't wait to get home and catch up on some zzz's tonight.

She actually woke up early (despite going to bed late with no nap so I know she was tired). But it gave her time to watch a tv show, casually eat breakfast (from 6:30-7am eating a yogurt at the table). Then I helped her get dressed and then she spent 10 minutes in the bathroom "trying" to go poop but really playing with some stickers. I finally got her going to brush teeth and hair. Thankfully we finally found good pair of easy on shoes that she likes so that goes quickly. And into the car we went. Not early but not late and no tear so thats nice.

@Smurfette: she actually had been a little better....and then Monday happened. :bummed: I ended up having to fight her to get dressed while she yelled that I was hurting her. Ugh. Thankfully, no tears at drop-off. That was our one good moment of the morning. Sorry your morning was rough.

@mediagirl: I actually thought about you this morning and your other thread about mornings. It was rough. She woke up in a mood, wasn't happy when she realized Daddy was gone again, and didn't want to get dressed. Then didn't want me to leave her at school. No tears there at least. But it was a rough morning for once.

DS was fine, I was not! He's always a chipper little man in the morning and too loud and full of energy for this pregnant mom with no patience. I'm just glad that he's decided to start sleeping in/happily will stay quietly in his room till 7:30 now instead of yelling his head off from 6:30 on.

@Cherrybee: 😯

Rough. DD cried her heart out at preschool drop off and had to be prised away from me, sobbing. The toilet seat broke, the computer wouldn't turn on, the TV wouldn't work and DS was super cranky and clingy too.

Rough morning here as well, DD is not a morning person and I had to wake her up which is never a good start. She was grumpy and it took forever to get her ready. We also had a car breakfast. Surprisingly drop off went ok once we got to daycare! Mondays are tough!

Did the kids get up and out the door okay? Was there much fighting because they didn't want to go to school? Did you have to skip breakfast because no one would get out of bed and you ran out of time?

We had a rough morning. She didn't want to go to school so the morning routine was a struggle. I made breakfasts to go so we had them in the car and didn't have to worry about them at home but UGH. I hope this afternoon is better.
