I could easily order for DH, I know his favorites & it helps that he isn't too picky. DH could order for me too, maybe not quite as easily since my orders always seem a little more complicated (i.e dressing on the side, etc) but he knows what I like :)

@maisymay @ameliabedelia We do that, too! I think it's fun to hear the little, interesting stories that people sometimes think aren't as important to tell. We *always* win The Newlywed Game type games because of this.

I could order for him, anywhere. He has very few food qualms, and the ones he does have, he's made a big enough deal of over the years that I'm sure anyone who knows him would get it right. :-P He has a harder time with me, especially right now when my food preferences seem to be ever shifting.

yes I could order for him, he's very much a steak and potatoes kind of guy (no sour cream!) haha we know each other pretty well for only being together for 3 years total.

@Rubies: We do that with tomatoes or mushrooms. Also, he knows that when I am finished, he gets to eat whatever I haven't. We seldom need to bring leftovers home.

We know each other very well. We've only been together 2 years in May and Married 3 months but I swear most of the time we are the same person lol
I'm pretty confident that he and I could order for each other with no problem. I know I can since I'm the one that does all the shopping/ordering lol

We know each other very well, but ordering out at restaurants might be tricky. Not because we don’t know the other’s preferences, but because we are not picky eaters at all and love to try new foods. We also love most all foods, so ordering correctly would really depend on exactly what we happened to be in the mood for. The only food I don’t like is lamb so he would know never to order that, but that’s about it really between the two of us for items we won’t eat. If I saw there was truffle/truffle oil/anything truffle on the menu I would know to order that for him, but other than that who knows what we want on a given night!

When ordering sandwiches, I like mine with extra mustard (if mustard is appropriate). Other than that, whatever we ordered for each other would be fine (as long as it wasn't a lamb sandwich!!) ;-)

My hubs and I know each other very well...If we order something that has cucumber on it, before we even start eating, he'll just go pick it off my plate and transfer it to his. Yes, I hate cucumber.

I know my husband well, but I don't think either of us would be able to order for the other at a restaurant with a lot of success. When we go out, especially to a new place, we always experiment. Neither one of us is picky, so we'll eat what is ordered, but I'll order for myself, thank you!

I can order for him quite easily...he'll eat anything as long as there's lots of it!

My favorite thing to do is to tell him to tell me something I don't know. That's how I get random stories about a second grade school project or crazy things his college baseball team did. I love those stories!

I could probably write a very uninteresting book about the man. :) We've been together for 4 years (living together for 3) and we know pretty much all the little nuances. We still have a few new random ones we discover when weird foods come up (like diff types of sauces), but in general we've got it down.

Yes, we've been together for nearly 6 years, so I think we know each other pretty well. Sometimes we surprise each other with random info that we never knew about, but that's fun too! haha. He is one of the funniest people I've ever met and now I've got to the point of basically finishing whatever he's going to say or joke he's going to make because I know his sense of humor so well :)

I dated a guy for 7 1/2 years and I couldn't tell you anything about his food preferences. I don't know his favorite food, favorite restaurant, what he eats on his burger, etc. I never knew. It was a long distance relationship, but still!

I've been with my husband for 4 years and I love how we know what the other person likes and dislikes. I don't even have to tell him what I want, I just say a sandwich with no gross stuff and I get exactly what I was in the mood for. Much easier then saying (no lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc).

Can you order for your SO and vise versa?
