I hope she feels that I love her unconditionally, that I gave her a happy and fun childhood, and that I encouraged her to pursue her dreams and interests.

The last one is particularly important to me, because while I had an amazing childhood, the one thing I think my parents could have done better would have been to encourage my interests. I think there are a few things I was good at, that I could have really pursued but I wasn't confident enough and almost felt like my parents would laugh at me. I was also a little self conscious and over thought things (still do!) so it wasn't all them but I really really hope LO never feels like I would laugh at her for wanting to sing/dance/debate/whatever.

I hope they describe me the way I describe my parents. Infinitely loving, strict parents and in general awesome.

Right now Lala describes me as her very best friend. I have a feeling that won't be the case when she's older... but I hope she always thinks of me as understanding and accepting... and hardworking. The best I could hope for is a "good role model" which I always aspire to be, but fall short in so many ways!

I actually think about this a lot! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I hope my kids find me loving and understand and feel that they can come to me with whatever. Basically the same answer as you. :)

I think about this all the time. Mostly because when we get home LOs lovey smells like my mom and it makes me so happy.

I hope that when G describes me as loving, supportive and kind.

How do you hope your children describe you (and your relationship with them) once they are adults themselves?

I try to think of this frequently, because I really hope LO doesn't wind up on some therapist's couch bitching about me when she grows up! I hope to be a good mother to her and avoid passing my shortcomings down to her.

I hope she describes me as loving, hardworking, understanding, and someone she can talk to about anything.
