Leave the adulting to the adults--let kids be kids for as long as they can be. My parents never burdened me or my brother with adult worries and problems. He definitely taught me lessons by what I SHOULDN'T do.</p> <p>1. Take care of your health, especially your mental health and addictions. My father has had unmanaged depression and addiction issues as far as I can remember. He's destroyed his health, bankrupted his family, and gambled and smoked his money away while we all suffered because he never fixed any of his personal issues.</p> <p>2. Make yourself the victim in any situation and find someone or something else to blame. They thought it might be neat to put them in a pile of dog poo and see what would happen. See attached. I bought a "I Love You Dad" journal for Christmas as a gift for him and I am stuck on these pages! Maybe your responses will give me inspiration :)</p> <p>My dad was a good, loving, family man.
