Lo1 has been obsessed with our dog since he was 3 months, the dog tolerates him and plays with him occasionally. Lo2 could not give a damn.

LO is obsessed with our dog. She follows him around, wants to feed him all her food, hugs him every minute, finds everything that he does hilarious, and generally wants to be his bestie. Our dog tolerates her at best, haha. Hope he'll come around more and reciprocate some love as she grows older!

The cats ignore Fiona, and she mostly ignores them too. Our dog however? Basically the best thing in life in Fiona's opinion. She loves him so much and it cracks me up bc I didn't expect that so young (4.5mo). Every single time she sees him she cracks a big smile, even if she was just cranky. Last night he was laying on the couch doing nothing and Fiona stared at him laughing so hard for almost 30 min. She just thinks he is the best. He is still a little unsure about her-- mostly he just wants to lick her.

Lo and one of our dogs are like magnets! I swear, I'm like a middle school dance chaperone trying to keep them from making out all the time. Lo is so into both dogs, more and more now that she's more aware of what's going on around her. Our other dog is a little more ambivalent, on one hand he's very protective and sweet with her, but now that she's grabbing at him he's a little huffier

Infatuated. Too much is never enough with LO. She aches to see her dog when we are away.

The cats are friendly towards the baby. The baby is increasingly interested in the cats, but they don't seem to appreciate it when he grabs fistfuls of their fur! He recently started crawling, and they often wait while he crawls towards them. I'm surprised that they are so patient.

Too much. Our dog loves Zay and Zay loves our dog, but I keep them separate because they both get way too excited.

Respectful. They each give each other a lot of space and are very gentle with each other (which is a huge feat for my cat who is not friendly and not gentle with anyone but LO!!)

Our daughter just told us that "Smokey doesn't love me. She run away when I pet her. And I tell her, no Smokey! But she run away."

If I had to describe their relationship in one phrase, it would be unrequited love. Smokey does let Olive pet her, but not every time.

How would you describe the relationship between your LO and your pets?
