Or possibly use the same color but a couple shades lighter above the chair rail. </p> <p>I picked out that quilt for my daughter and wanted to do soft aqua walls and white curtains. Almost every room in our house has a chair rail, and while some is all one color, there are a few rooms with the two toned look and I love it.</p> <p>We always do the darker color on the bottom, as it tends to be the smaller space.
