In fact, she was confused and thought all the brunette dolls were the same, even though there are subtle differences in hair style, skin tone, etc. That told me she isn't ready at all to appreciate one, and I was relieved not to be having to struggle over an expensive doll at this age. We bought the books and will read them to her.
