RJ loved music and gymboree classes-- we started around 4 months. We took one class per semester because it's so expensive, and filled the rest of our time with playdates and trips to malls, etc.

When I was little I started ballet at 2 and piano at 5. I continued dance until I was 15 and piano until I was 18.

My DD is 7 mths old and I've been planning to enroll her in some kind of gym class. Actually just got off the phone with someone from that gym. I'm planning to take her for a free introductory class before I commit to the program. I definitely see it more as a socialization tool for her more than anything else at this point. But I'm interested to see how she receives it.

we enrolled charlie in a music class when he was 6 months old. i think he was shy before the class, and it really helped him be more comfortable in groups and around strangers. after that class we kept him enrolled in one class at a time (another music class, a gym class, etc). until he was old enough (over 1) to really enjoy playdates.

i really wanted to sign him up for swim classes, but they were too far to walk and i was too lazy.

We used to live in a building with a pool and started letting our son play in it since he was 3-4 months. We started parent toddler swim classes just after his first birthday and he loves it. He's now 2 and can be put under water for a few seconds.
I didn't learn to swim until i was much older and had already developed a fear of the water so I'm not a good swimmer at all. So I wanted to start him young and enjoy the process.
We may also sign him up for some toddler soccer since he's really into kicking his soccer ball lately.

My daughter is not even 12 weeks old but when she is 6 months old, I want to sign up for Mommy'n'Me-type swim classes. When she's a toddler, I intend to have her in some toddler-friendly activities. But as soon as she's 4 years old, I plan to have her in something more structured (an instument, a sport, etc.) and long-term.

I started swimming lessons when I was 3 years old and started piano lessons when I was 6.

What have you enrolled your LOs in? How old were/are they?
