<description>&#60;p&#62;My DS will be 3.5 next month and still has like 4 lovies. He doesn't put them in his mouth though. I have no plans to wean him from them, but then again, he only uses them for sleeping. I also let him hold on to one, if he wants it, when we travel.

<description>&#60;p&#62;If your LO used a lovey, when and how did you break the habit?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;DD loves her lovey. She never took to a pacifier, but she has always sucked and chewed on a corner of her lovey.  It's disgusting. I try to switch them out every day or so because they smell awful. I don't really have a problem with her using a lovey, but I think the chewing/sucking is getting gross and I worry about it affecting her teeth.  I don't think I'm ready to take it away completely, but I'm starting to think about when we might try and what the process would look like.  I think it'd have to be a slow weaning.
