If you get any push back, say it's a doctors appointment that you can't miss, it's really hard to argue with that. My industry is so small and everyone knows each other, so hiring managers are more likely to be willing to meet you for coffee at 8am for an interview or a drink after work. It's so hard to keep anything a secret!</p> <p>But I don't think you blew your chances, if they think you're valuable enough to bring in for an interview they have incentive to work around your schedule. She asked me could I interview next Wednesday at 10:30 am, I said yes, and she gave me all of the info I needed to be prepared for the interview. Before I said yes, I cleared it with my manager and she said that was fine (she's more of my friend). No even 5 minutes after scheduling the interview, my mgr looked in her calendar and saw she had a work related meeting at the same exact time as my interview. So I have I stay and cover for her. If I call to reschedule the interview, is that like guaranteeing I won't get the job. My husband seems to think so. Ugh, I'm so mad!! </p>
