@Danizaur: same soaking issue. I returned ours to Amazon.

Our original one was a homedic that I loved. But too much calcification and I can't get the nozzle off.

Another Crane here. We love it. We use it every night. My only issue is that it has a dial to turn up the amount of mist...but ours seems to go from nothing to full blast at only a quarter of a turn. Lol it soaks the floor so we sit it on a towel.

@PinkElephant: I run one every night in our LO's nursery and used the generic one Target sold. A big tip is to use distilled water, and the you don't have to worry about it growing mold.

Also a crane user. Though I have to remember to clean it out regularly because it will mold. Our house is really dry, so it seemed to help!

We also live in an old house in a dry winter climate. We run multiple humidifiers throughout the house all day long, including where E sleeps. She sleeps poorly and wakes up congested if we don't use it even one night. We use cold mist humidifiers, though I don't think I'd specifically recommend any of the ones we have.

We've recently moved from a climate where we constantly ran DEhumidifiers to keep mold from growing on the walls to an old historic home with radiator heat which, as the weather gets colder, are proving to make the air extremely dry. The whole family is pretty uncomfortable at night (dry eyes and throats), but my six month old, who WAS a rock star sleeper, is waking multiple times a night wanting to nurse or just be with me.

Does anyone regularly use a humidifier or steam machine in the nursery? If so, would you recommend the one you have? Or any other suggestions, like perhaps offering water at night?
