I live in Georgia and am not getting a humidifier for the nursery . . . I think the natural humidity falls within the 30-50% range.

We also live in FL and did not get one. We got a cool mist vaporizer which is supposed to be better.

A humidifier for the nursery is a common recommendation, but I can't find any info about whether it's necessary in Florida. My friend, who lives here, told me to put one on my registry and when I asked if it was really necessary since it's already so humid, she just said her doctor told her to get one so she did. I'm trying not to stock our registry with every possible item, in the hopes we'll actually get the things we really, truly need. So for those of you in humid climates -- humidifier, yay or nay?
