But that's on either humidifier. I mean, I have really been enjoying the summer season of not using it, since it's a pain to empty and refill it every single day and then clean it once a week. But it does the job and I can't imagine any other humidifier would be any less prone to mildew. I've had to replace it after 1.5 years (not sure what happened). We use it every day in the winter and I disinfect it every Sunday afternoon with vinegar. We empty them every day in the morning and just leave them out to dry, and then fill them again in the evening.
