We have a Vicks humidifier (warm air). This is the description:

The Vicks V745A Warm Mist Humidifier w/ Auto Shut-Off is a warm mist humidifier that provides relief from cough and congestion through the release of warm moisture. This humidifier includes an auto shut off function, nightlight, and medicine cup. Perfect for medium to large sized rooms, this warm mist humidifier runs quietly and operates for up to 12 hours per filling, while not requiring the use of a filter.

I love it! And its super quiet.

We've gone through so many humidifiers in the past 10 years. The only one that stuck and worked very well was the Swiss O Air. It's a bit pricey but works very well. Gives you option of warm or cool mist.

We recently got one because our crane broke and I couldn't be happier. LG Livart, it's a Korean brand. Not sure, if it will be heavy duty enough for the common space.

Does anyone have a great humidifier recommendation? We received the Vornado® Ultrasonic Humidifier for Christmas, but have found that it isn't enough for our 1200 sq ft apartment. We are going to move it to our bedroom and find another that will be good for the common spaces.

We are considering the Honeywell HCM-6009 QuietCare 9-Gallon Output Console Humidifier with Air Washing Technology but are open to suggestions if anyone has one they love.
