If he's not after deer, he's after quail, dove or duck. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the fridge full of dove tonight, actually. But no deer yet this year. I posted this question at the beginning of archery season and practically no one else knew what i meant by "hunting widow!" </p> <p>No deer (yet) but FIL got an elk when he and DH were out in CO, so that was delicious. I've still got a deer roast from last year in the freezer that i've got to clear out. </p> <p>DH was so bummed that he missed an entire day of deer archery for our childbirth class. I told him that it wouldn't be the first time his son screws up his plans. </p> <p>DH, FIL and my dad are all headed to my family's hunting camp this weekend/beginning of the week for bear season. Although gun season starts this weekend for our state, he is apparently not going to go out but has continued with his bow. So now he can bring home a buck and a doe! I'm cleaning out our freezers to prepare for all the meat! I'm pretty excited actually and hopefully he can get a deer!</p> <p>Any other husbands that hunt out there? </p>
