Wouldn't say I'm an expert but I've easily had 5-10 stents. I did not have this during pregnancy so I can't comment on that. If you do okay, you could ask about the metallic stent. It's supposed to be okay to stay in for up to a year. I had surgery after a whole range of testing. I think they basically cut out part of my ureter that was too narrow and causing the blockages, and reattached everything. I have never had another episode in the 20 years since. Interesting. I thought my cousin had this, but it was something else that had to do with, I believe, her liver failing due to the pregnancy. It's pretty painful, and in my case, I required surgery on multiple occasions to have stents placed.</p> <p>I had this from weeks 22-birth and it was challenging at times. It's unknown if I will experience it again in my next pregnancy.</p> <p>I just wish there were other momma's out there that I could talk to about it. I have nervousness about getting pregnant again because of it...and I don't know anyone in real life or online that has had this happen.</p> <p>Just thought I'd give it a shot! And if anyone has questions in the meantime, I'm glad to answer them! </p>
