I couldn't open my eyes. Somehow opening them made the pain worse.

@mrs. wagon: Lol. I couldn't help but laugh at his silence also at times bothering you. haha!

@Maysprout: I think I got lucky that since we were home DH just cleaned & did things around the house until I felt like I needed him.... kept himself busy. lol

@mrs. wagon: I just asked DH last night what he did for 12 hours once we got to the hospital. I didn't want the TV on cause the noise bothered me and couldn't handle a conversation at all and everything that touched me hurt. He said he sat then paced then sat then paced, he was expecting to be more hands on but handled it well when plans changed.

@Maysprout: I prepared WS by telling him not to say anything or touch me at all, or even look at me really, unless I asked him to do so. He did great. I just barked orders and he'd jump. Sometimes his silence bothered me as well though. haha. So I'd bark at him to say something and he would. I think the fact that you're aware and prepared will help a ton!!

I was like that with #1. I was constantly snapping at G's dad b/c he would try to massage my back & I hated it! Argh!

I didn't have that with P. :)

The shower and bath were the only things that felt good to me in labor! I really tested out how big our hot water tank is!

Not emotionally but to touch/noise etc.
Did anyone else experience this?

After my water broke I tried to take a shower and the water droplets made me so uncomfortable I got out after a couple min - I felt like I could feel each one banging into me. DH tried to give me a massage and I had to ask him to stop because his fingers felt like knives. Noise was irritating.

Anyone go through this or know techniques that help with that situation? With #2s due date creeping up I'm starting to get nervous that will happen again.
