Duck flavor(duck is easy for cats to digest). The only thing that worked for us was the prescription brands. I can't recall the brands. It is generally a protein allergy, so he was eating rabbit, duck, and venison. If you can find a non prescription food with any of those meats, it is worth a try. Of course, I doubt that will come cheap either and you risk wasting it if it still makes your kitty sick. We have to be careful with our dog's food, cause he gets very itchy if he has the wrong one. Our vet never pushes a RX food for long term use (they had it during bad vomiting). Even with our diabetic insulin dependent dog he did not recommend RX food. I would try to compare ingredients against what is in the RX brand to try and find a comparable OTC and stay with a limited ingredient list. When we made the switch we went grain free and also changed the protein source in their food (it was chicken so went to a lamb) and it made such a huge improvement. I know we have dogs but I would do something similar for cats. I moved her to halo senior, she loved it. It is a grain free food far as I can remember. Corn, wheat and soy are really hard on animal diets. I would look into foods with out. The vet I took her to pushed hard for science diet type food, which has been rated extremely poorly for years. I did my own research and talked to other pet parents. What things are you trying to avoid and do you need grain free also? </p> <p>I've heard great things about a raw diet, but I know that is not feasible for everyone.</p> <p>ETA: We use Earthborn Hollistic grain-free with our dogs. We love it and they have been doing great on it. Blue Buffalo made them sick and after years of use they reacted to Innova (a brand I loved).
