What about if she's calm inside and you walk out the front door? Hysteria?

IF it's more out and about I think it's probably more likely to be over stimulation.

We had the same experience from when our son was about 6 weeks until he was 4 or 5 months. We used to call him the little shut-in, because he would flip out any time we took him outside. Hated the stroller, the ergo, our arms. I never got a good explanation for it, but my best guess is it was a combination of personality and the fact that we had developed inside specific coping mechanisms. Things started to change when he was big enough to be in the baby bjorn facing forward. Ultimately though it just took time. He loves the outside now. Sorry you are going through it, I literally thought I might lose my mind.

@MrsB2012: I've tried everything :( the hysteria is the same from stroller to wrap to ergo to my arms. I googled and couldn't find any similar stories so I guess no one has experienced this.

No experience with this, but what do you have her in when she's outside? If you have her in a stroller, have you tried babywearing? And if you wear her, have you tried putting her in the stroller?

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this....

My four month old becomes hysterical when she is outside. The sun is not in her face, she's not hot, she's not cold, fed, napped, changed, in my arms, sucking on a paci you name it she does not tolerate being outside. Granted were in a fussy period so hopefully a phase but I feel bad for my toddler when the baby is hysterical for her park visit or going out for ice cream for 45 minutes. Can babies have seasonal allergies? Over stimulated? I thought being outside is supposed to calm them :(
