Thank you all!
I had my procedure today and it was a breeze. The anesthesia wore off quickly and besides a little cramping from the polyp removal I feel totally normal. The worst part was waking up and asking the nurse if I was pregnant yet and then started crying because she said no... oops!

This is probably too late, but I had two - a hysteroscopy/laporoscopy, and just a hysteroscopy. Both times they recommended I take a week off work but I felt pretty much fine by day 3 - neither were really that bad, like @Mrs Lavender: said, the IV was the worst part.

I really do think they helped - I had the first one after three years of infertility and got pregnant naturally a few months later. I lost that pregnancy, had a few unsuccessful IUIs, had a second hysteroscopy, and then had a successful IVF procedure. Most significantly, I think, is that 18 months after having my first child (5 years of fertility treatments) I got pregnant naturally with my second.

@mrskansas: I had one after my second loss this summer just to make sure there was no scar tissue. It was basically an ultrasound, although I did have a tiny bit of cramping at the end. Good luck!

The Sono was way worse for me (pain wise) than the hysteroscopy. Are you going to be under anesthesia? I was a couch potato the day of and had minimal bleeding. They removed 2 polyps. The IV was the worst part. I thought it was a breeze!

Removing the polyps did not help me get pregnant. We tried for another year after removal before moving to IVF. I was told depending on where it's located it can interfere with implantation. I do hear some ladies get pregnant afterwards though - hopefully you'll be one of them! :goodluck:

I had one after two m/c. They found a uterine septum wall and it was removed. I’m pregnant with #2 now and I have a almost 4 year old

Good luck!!!

I had a saline sono on Monday where they found possible endometrial polyps. I have a hysteroscopy scheduled for tomorrow and am nervous!

Just curious what other's experiences were! And did it help your infertility?
