@tlcbaby: Yeah, I took my coach aside as soon as I knew (I was probably 5 weeks) and let her know. I told her it was very early so I didn't want anyone else to know, but that I thought it was important for her to know. She kept it totally quiet, but I was glad she knew.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Thanks everybody! I do plan to tell him after our appointment on Tuesday, I wanted to wait until we went to the doctor and hopefully hear that everything is going okay.

CrossFit is pretty intense, but everything can be scaled to a level you are comfortable with and it will be much easier when my coach knows and can probably make suggestions for how I can modify.

I also think telling him privately is a good idea. You don't want to over exert yourself :)

It's really awkward when your coaches don't know! It probably is best to let him know so he leaves you be, though. Letting my coach know was SUCH a huge load off, especially when we were PRing and stuff, or around week 8 when all the up/down of burpees made my head spin too much

Hang in there, it gets better!

Awe, don't cry, it's amazing that you are working out. I agree, you should pull your instructor aside and let him/her know so that they can modify for you.

This is almost what happened to me! We were doing a hero workout and my time was 7 minutes slower than my PB and my coach was like, it's ok...you'll do better next time. I told him I was pregnant and he said, "in that case, you did awesome!"

Isn't crossfit pretty intense?
I would take your coach aside and let him know so he chills and doesn't yell at you!

Nobody at my CrossFit gym knows I am pregnant yet (we are waiting until after our first doctor's appointment next week) so I've been just trying to keep the weight and intensity low.

Today we were doing pushups with our feet up on a box and the coach kept yelling at me to go lower. I know he didn't know I was pregnant and that normally I push myself much harder, but he kept trying to encourage me and I almost started crying because I was so frustrated. I seriously had to hold back the tears.

I just wanted to scream "I am pregnant" and then he would probably think I was awesome for doing pushups at all instead of yelling at me!
