(neither does being young, for that matter). I'm a total spitfire and cannot STAND when people are rude so I would have said something. I probably wouldn't have said the nicest thing, though, being in the heat of the moment. </p> <p>Once I was at Target sitting in the car checking my phone and a man threw a shopping cart across the grass barrier thing because it was near his brandy new truck. His 6? year old son looked mortified. I got out, 9 months pregnant and stood the cart up and waved to him. He then yelled a string of swear words out the window. My husband wanted to die. That happened to my mom once when I was a kid, too. She always looked very young for her age, and an older woman saw her with myself and my siblings and made a rude comment along the lines of "These mothers! They just get younger and younger every year!" As for critiquing your parenting skills - it seems the older generation is always underestimating the age of babies based on their size - it's as though they've forgotten what a 6 month old baby looks like!
