When the other bird got knocked out by the collision, the hawk hopped around, looking around, and eventually snatched up the bird and flew off. Whenever I see a hawk when I'm driving, I crane my neck and practically drive off the road just to catch a longer glimpse. :) I used to see more when we lived up north. And I'm always surprised at how large they are when I catch one up close. But they can be mean little suckers. They're the reason we could never keep chickens or rabbits growing up. They will sit on the coop, stir up the chickens, then grab them and pull pieces out through the wire.
