I made it to 8 months but then had two bumps in two days! One he was standing on the floor and arched backwards and to the side and landed on his head. The next day he did the same move while sitting on my lap and landed on his face. I felt awful!! He cried hard both times and I felt like crap. Unfortunately it happens.

Papa Y was horsing around with Baby Y as we were loading up the SUV. He hoisted him into the air ... and bonked his head on the open trunk door. Many tears were shed, but he was fine.

I don't have a LO yet but my dad was bathing my younger brother when he was about 4 months old. My dad says that my brother was so slippery that he slipped out of my dad's hands/arms and fell between the bathroom counter and the toilet and he (brother) hit his head. I die laughing every time I hear that story! I always say "so that's why T is the way he is!" LOL - my brother is now a cardiologist, so he turned out OK!

Anyway, babies are definitely resilient :) Just give extra hugs and kisses!

My DH has "softly" bonked his head a couple of times...he even fell down a few steps with him one time - luckily he protected our baby from hitting any surfaces it just scared the poop out of our LO. My DH can only sit and hold the baby now...kidding.

Thank you guys for making me feel better!
@Owlmom: that is precisely the reason I never ever cut her nails! I let the hubs take that responsibility because I always get her skin when I try to do it. It's so hard even when you're careful!

I accidentally clipped a bit of skin on my LO's finger when I was clipping her nails. She didn't cry at all, and I didn't know it happened until I saw a little bit of blood on her shirt. I felt so bad that I was sick to my stomach. Fortunately it never bothered her and healed quickly, but my palms still sweat every time I clip her nails.

Yes, I felt bad! I was holding LO and reached down to grab something off the floor and bonked his head against the stair rail. He whimpered but didn't cry. I felt so bad. I hope I didn't kill any braincells!

I think we've all bonked our LO's heads at some point or another. Thankfully babies are resilient little things!

LO was sitting up on her own and I looked away for *one second* and she fell backwards and her head hit the ground (luckily it was on the carpet). She yelped for a few seconds but I distracted her with her Sophie.

I was trying to get LO into a more comfortable position in my lap, and I bumped her head against the wall behind me!! She cried for a few minutes so loud, I felt like I must have hit it so hard! I feel so so terrible =..(
Anyone else made a mistake?
