The problem is not just thin corneas, but thin corneas + very high diopter (-12.5). The doctor said if I had a more normal diopter (like a -3, -5, etc), my corneas would probably be ok to do it, but not with my high diopter.</p> <p>There is another doctor who does a procedure called an Intra Ocular Lens, which is basically very similar to cataract surgery. It has great result for very blind people (lol) like me. The worst part was when he created the flap. Some pressure and discomfort on my eyeballs, but it didn't last long. The entire process took 10ish mins and when it was over, i could already see a lot better.<br /> Post op discomfort lasted less than 3 hours, and by 8 hours I was seeing almost perfect, minus some haziness.<br /> I definitely recommend it!
