I worked from home starting when he was 13 weeks and ended at 15 months when I had my daughter. I had toys in the office and he would just play on the floor. He had free roam of the hall too(we had all other doors closed and a gate by the stairs). I dropped DD off at her granparents' house and was back home, at my laptop, by about 9.15am. All good so far. I answered a few emails and had a quick phone catch up with my boss at 9.50am......</p> <p>I was so tired. I was so, so tired, Bees. We had a busy weekend as phase 1 of operation Childproof the House was not only a huge success but sparked operations Spring Clean the Entire House and Decorate the Dining Room. Plus this working and parenting thing is exhausting. It's rewarding and wonderful but man it wears you out! </p> <p>So, yeah, back to the story. At about 10.30am, I went upstairs to use the bathroom and then wandered into the bedroom and lay on the bed. "I'll just have a ten minute lie down" I thought..... </p> <p>.... I WOKE UP AT 3.30PM!</p> <p>Oh my goodness! I'm going to have to put some work in this evening now to catch up! Sigh. I'm not sure I'm going to tell DH what happened because he already treats my working from home days like extra days off work. But I can't believe it...! </p>
