my kid is a total party animal, too! he's almost a year and he wakes up at least once.
I've never been much of a sleeper myself so he probably gets it from me. Man I wish I had appreciated a good night's sleep when I had the chance before DS!

Is it possible that she could be teething? There were several nights we had to give DS ibuprofen because of teething and he slept much better!

i sleep trained olive last night since she is also 14 months and waking up twice a night. it went much better than expected. she woke up a lot, but never cried for more than a couple minutes. i finally went in around 6 and nursed her, and she fell back asleep until 8.

have you ever let your lo cry in the middle of the night for just 5 minutes? who knows! he may just go back to sleep!

@Banana I learned that lesson with my first, he slept in my bed until he was 4.5, that was pure torture!!!
@Lozza
My dh works out of town so he's gone most of the week.

@StbHisMrs: When we were working on night weaning, I'd send DH in at night instead of me, so LO didn't have the option of the boob. I think he'd mainly try to comfort LO back to sleep, but also bring water in there and offer LO that. I do think that totally eliminating night feeds helped... we'll still get him water or milk sometimes in the middle of the night if he's totally freaking out (he's 20 months now), but that only happens maybe three or four times a month, and in general he has slept through the night since about 11 months. We also did kind of our own version of CIO, but LO never fussed/cried for more than 10 minutes.

@StbHisMrs: We slept in my son's room because we needed to get some sleep! We would go in at the first wake up and then just sleep there the rest of the night. That went on for months until he moved to his toddler bed. Now he sleeps fine by himself. I was too chicken to do CIO so we did it the easy/lazy way. :)

She woke up 5 times last night, ack!!!
@MrBee Thank you so much, looks like I have some reading to do tonight :)

@T-Mom That's got to be hard, was he sleeping through before pneumonia?

@Hlk208 We've tried CIO too, it didn't work! She's so stubborn she doesn't stop crying!

If sleep training is an option, go for it! From 18 months until 3.5 years DS still wakes up asking for ridiculous things! If I did sleep training while he was older but in the crib still, I think he would be a better sleeper now! We did do CIO at 9 months but nothing past that age.

15 mo old has been waking up asking for a bottle every night since he got used to having one during his bout with pneumonia. He is all better now so I am going to offeri water or reduce the bottle size at the waking for a few days. If that doesn't work I will probably let him cry. You could try just offering some water instead of feeding, or reduce the feeding time, and for one of the wakings like the non-feeding waking you could try and let LO cry a little.

I think I'm gonna lose it soon!!! Lo is 14 months old and still wakes up twice a night, once to eat, once for no apparent reason. This is getting so old!! The first wakeup is midnight, second is 3:30-4. She has a binky, a star toy, and Violet the dog plays 10 minutes of lullabies, ugh..
