It's hard earned liquid gold! I even get upset if I didn't burp her properly and she spits up milk. </p> <p>I put some lanolin on every time after I feed so when I pump there is some leftover on my nipple which helps from the friction of pumping. I've spilled more. I've spilled less. Each time there was a bit of an emotional meltdown.</p> <p>Are you using a lubricant when you pump? It was painful for me as well until I started using something like EMAB's Natural Nipple Butter or Motherlove's Nipple Cream. And to make matters worse, LO has not been latching well in the past couple of days. So I was thrilled today when I was able to pump 4 oz without pain... only to spill 1/2 of it when transferring it to the storage bag.</p> <p>Please tell me I'm not the only one to cry over this? </p>
