@Alivoo01: Yup, we watch her in the monitor sometimes. You can tell how long it takes her to fall asleep by how far she gets. She can't roll over yet so it's her way of moving, I guess.

And yeah, her being a summer baby probably has to do with my not liking the gowns. We did side snap tees in the beginning-- I liked being able to see her diaper with the wet indicator and I wasn't worried about cold legs since it was Aug.

@Foodnerd81: DS moved like a clock hand even when swaddled! I took a video of it one night just to see how he did it! haha.

I was never a fan of them either. I tried them a few times and nope. DS was born in the summer so I preferred putting him in a side snap tee then swaddling him but leaving the bottom of the swaddle "open" for ease of diaper changes. Plus, DS was tiny when he was born so the side snap tees went down to his knees any how. ha!

I use these with LO and love these! She just turned 4 months . I put pants on because the gown does hike up BUT sliding pants off for diaper change at night is less disruptive than the whole button or zipper thing with pajama onesies.

@Foodnerd81: That is funny, I can count on one hand the amount of times Isaac has rotated in the crib. Guess he is cozy. If he was a mover then gowns would of been a pain. I preferred the ones with the snaps, much easier to get on.

@ALV91711: my C is definitely a mover in the crib. As soon as we took her arms out of the swaddle she started rotating around the crib like a clock hand.

@Jennimac: I am surprised too! Jake LIVED in his for the first few months! Granted, he was smaller until the 3-5 month THEN ballooned out, but still. He was in a gown and socks every night for a long time. We didn't transition to sleepers until 5-6 months.

He also slept in his swing for a long time though, he was colicky and wouldn't sleep anywhere but his swing or on our chests, so that made for less riding up of the material.

I loved them and used them until about 5 months. So much easier for changing at night. DS has never been much of a mover in his sleep, so I've never had a problem with them bunching.

Wow! I'm surprised that so many people don't like them. We have some that are 0-6 months and I'm happy because I really like them. LO sleeps in a swaddle so they don really move up on her. Plus, she seems to like having her legs out. I will definitely keep them for our next one.

We used them pretty exclusively from day 1 until about 2-2.5 months. I love them. So easy for diaper changes, and so much easier to put on! As soon as she starting getting wiggling and rolling, we switched to footed sleepers.

ETA: At the time that we were using gowns we were also using SwaddleMes, so they were held down!

we used them when DS was a newborn. I liked them because they are easy for quick diaper changes and you are changing soooo many dipes those first few weeks. He also didn't move much at all when sleeping. That was short lived phase, though. He probably didn't wear them after his 1 month bday.

We have been putting C in a Halo sleep sack these days, but she happened to have blowouts in both of them before I could do laundry. So when Dh changed her this morning he put her in this sleep gown thing that we had gotten as a hand me down- the kind with elastic around the bottom.

I see these all the time but they seem so dumb- it hiked up to her hips in no time. Amazingly she still took a decent nap but look how ridiculous! Does anyone use them?

She did look pretty cute though.
