I ask DH 'did you feed the dogs?' 'Did they potty?' About 6 times a day. He HATES it. The pups are in the basement so I'm not down there as much and I micromanage. Horribly. Haha poor hubster.

@Foodnerd81: I do that when I get home regardless, and I don't take public transo! I'm not really like a CRAZY germaphobe. I'm not one of those people who won't touch a door handle or grocery cart. But I feel like it's just smart to wash your hands whenever possible. And I like to think of my house as a "safe zone."

We were watching shark tank the other day and these guys were hawking their all natural cleaner and to prove it works they had this machine where they can calculate the actual # of germs on a surface. I was like OMG I WANT THAT. DH was like NEVVVVERRR. hahaha

I tell Dh to wash his hands every time he walks in the door- he takes public transportation!

@dc yoga bee: so gross but he has the same policy about washing his hands after the bathroom. So gross- though I think he does after using a public restroom for number 1. He says he doesn't touch anything gross, I say 1) you touch the toilet to flush, and 2) it's a good opportunity to wash your hands anyway. Gross.

@Mae: That may or may not be a phrase in our home! "Wash your damn hands!" The bathroom hand washing is the worst for me! And yes, he says, "oh we're not dead yet." Yet, somehow him and his sis stay in the doctor's office...

@dc yoga bee: lol omg that is bad! My husband also thinks just sort of washing off quickly in the sink = washing. I think anything that touches raw meat needs to go in the dishwasher. The only exception is our "good" knives which he hates to have in the dishwasher and I've agreed to that as long as he uses the HOTTEST water for a long time and lots of dish soap.

Last night he was making fun of me like omg I'm not dead yet it's fine. And I'm like…. I'm not even allowed to eat lunch meat or frozen yogurt due to bacteria what do you think my doc would say about SALMONELLA? Are you trying to kill our unborn child? Wash your damn hands lol.

DH thinks I'm totally crazy about the raw chicken! I wash my hands a million times while dealing with it and disinfect everything after. He just rolls his eyes. Gah.

I'm a "wash your hands" crazy lady!!!!! I found out that my husband and his sister don't wash their hands after they use the bathroom if they only go number 1!!! Excuse me?!!!? What kind of home training is that? I even asked his mom- are you serious!?!? They touch door handles, faucets, and I'm gagging now thinking about the public restroom. So, every time my husband comes out the bathroom, I ask, "Did you wash your hands?" If not, go right back in there and wash your hands! UGH. He will use a knife to cut up raw chicken, and then wash it off with water and put it back with the other knives. Were you raised in a barn?!?! I know your family is from south Georgia (and not all south Georgians are like this) but damn people have some health and safety standards! They also thaw meat on the deck in the hot sun. Oh lord, I'm on a roll. Let me end it here!

Sort of lol'ing at his annoyance right now. I have this thing about washing hands. Particularly when cooking and dealing with raw meat. Or when touching anything germy (garbage, pet's mouth, etc). My husband is a typical guy who rolls his eyes at this. We cooked dinner together last night and I think I made him wash his hands 6 times (he kept touching the chicken or the cutting board the raw chicken was on!). And just now he gave our cat his daily pill (which has chemo meds in it) and I made him wash his hands again and he gave a big sigh.

I don't feel badly lol.

What do you drive your husband nuts about that you don't feel badly about at all? :)
