@LazyLightning: Oh doll, I am so sorry! It happens to every one at least once! (I dropped the t.v. remote on LO's head at around 2 weeks . . . :/).

IMO, this is the same kind of situation as divers and having to pee . . . There are two kinds of people in this world, those who pee in their wetsuits (drop/bump their babes), and those who lie about it! :P

Oh, big hugs! E once face-planted from 2.5-3' up, onto hardwood. The RN nurse on-call wanted me to get him x-rayed. He was fine after a minute or two, I was a hot crying mess for hours. DH had to come home from work because I was such a mess. He had the indentation of the wood corner on his forehead!

They told me to keep an eye on his pupils (if they were different sizes or not changing sizes), his behavior (if he was really lethargic) and to bring him in if he started to throw up. But he was fine, your LO will be too!! Babies are much more durable that we tend to think!

Big hugs Mama!

Hugs, it happens to everyone as first timers. It's scary as hell, but babies fall and get squirmy.

Awww hugs! I let LO fall off the bed when she was 7 months old about 2.5/3 ft. And DH cracked her head on the side of the bed the day we brought her home from the hospital. These things happen!

@LazyLightning: If it makes you feel any better, my DD rolled off the bed while I was getting ready, so I'm really beating myself up. Unfortunately, I doubt this will be the last time accidents will happen. We should go easy on ourselves. I treated myself to a cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie after lunch today.

Oh mama, I know the feeling. My LO recently faceplanted out of her rocker. Scared the crap out of me but she cried for two minutes and went back to playing. Just keep an eye on your LO to make sure her eyes are focusing and things like that. I'm sure she's fine and has already forgotten about it : )

Oh no! I know that's scary! Don't worry, though...babies are more durable than they look!

DS fell off the bed when he was a baby, before he could roll over or crawl. I put him on it for just a second to get something on the other side of the room and suddenly my non-mobile baby got mobile and scooted right down.

Awww, it's okay, accidents happen! I'm sure your baby will be okay! My husband was dropped a lot further was a baby - his dad was trying to hold him and the groceries and everything just went wrong so what did he do? He decided to rescue the groceries!!

Also, I basically flung my baby away from me once because a spider was crawling on me. Worst parenting moment EVER, but Xander seems fine. At least we can be rest assured that at this age, they won't remember all the mistakes we make!

Worst morning ever.

I was trying to burp my increasingly squirmy baby and she shifted, I lost grip, and she face planted off my lap on to the hardwood floor. She landed with a thud, was silent for 2 seconds, then screamed. Now she has a red mark on her head.

I called the ped and they said to just watch her behavior... She is napping now.. I can't believe I did this. I am so mad, worried, and horrified.
