Probably because your furbaby looks so much like mine :) My mom still wants me to give our dogs up but I could never, even if they do lack attention from us sometimes. They are my original babies and they belong with me. So I totally understand you. Just know that he is happier with your sister, and even if he misses you, that's just one part of the change... the bigger, more important part of the change is that he's happier and gets so much more attention. We have a little shih tzu. He was our first baby. He was always very close to DH and I. He's a licker and that's how he shows his affection. After DS was born, I stopped letting him lick me because I was handling the baby all the time<br /> . He seemed to understand and stopped but now he doesn't snuggle with me anymore. Makes me sad. He's still very close to DH and hopefully we can rebuild our bond now that the kids are getting older. We had 3 dogs and had to give one away. She was a different breed from our other two. She sheded (the other 2 don't) and was way more active than our other 2. Anyway, my mom found a nice family for her and we last heard the family loves and takes very good care of her so we're happy. But we still think of her every few days...ESP when we come across someone with her name. He's special. </p> <p>My sister posted a "happy birthday" post for him on her blog, and reading it made me really sad. </p> <p>I'm sad I left him. I'm sad I don't think about him every day like I did before LO was born. I'm sad that I didn't hold him much at all the last time I was in CA because he sheds and I didn't want the hair to get on me and my LO. :(</p> <p>I never thought I'd leave and give my furbaby away. :( Sad times.<br /> I think I'd feel worse if he were living here with me and I couldn't give him the attention he desires/needs though. </p>
