We have had 3 times of the Croup. That is not fun... spent 2 nights in the hospital because of it. It is really hard to go through and E is so tough. He really doesn't show that he's not feeling well. You just know from the fever and snot! Lucky you! I think we'll be having our 50th cold by the time LO can do that :P</p> <p>For us we just hang out.... So far there are two types of illness he could have and both are not so bad (knock on wood!): One is business as usual, he plays like he is all OK even with a fever. Another type is he'd feel so bad he just lay there and wants to sleep. For the first one obviously I'll just let him play quietly, the 2nd type I may hold him in my arms or put him down for a bit and let him nap whenever he wants. I'd take his temperature from time to time and adminster medication if necessary.... </p> <p>I usually put the vicks rub cream on his chest before bedtime so he can breathe better and hopefully help with coughs if any.
