DH works late so I do bedtime on my own. I find that DD is more well behaved for me. DH is more lax, in general, so she can definitely manipulate them. He can take an hour for the routine and I will take me half an hour or less.

My husband has bedtime duties, I hate it that much! For some reason naps aren't as big an issue for me.

My son knows the drill now, it's bath, brush teeth, sleepsack, read Goodnight Moon and into the crib. My husband doesn't joke around and my son respects that. Me, on the other hand, it's all manipulation.

Bedtime is always *way* easier if we're both able to help out. Then we can tag team if need be. DD is usually pretty overtired and grumpy by bedtime, so it helps to have 2 sets of hands -- one to get her diapered and dressed after her bath, and another one to prepare her bottle. If there's just one of us, then you have to put her down to prepare the bottle... and there is lots of screaming.

I hope your son goes to bed soon!!

It is 8 pm on the West Coast. I have office hours (online) from 7 - 8 and my husband went to raquetball (yeah he thought that one out well. So I am in charge of bedtime. I hate bedtime.

I have never been able to get him to sleep on my own. So right now (as I wait for my battery to die) he is playing around the room trying to get my attention. Of course, I don't give it to him.

Am I the only one?
