@Goldilocks1107: haha. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that hates pretty much everything. I have looked into pools but they are SO expensive around here. I'm considering joining a gym that allows you to go monthly so I can just use the elliptical or bike. Either of those would be better on my joints/ligaments in my groin than walking.

I've been active throughout my entire pregnancy (30 weeks). But I hate (HATE) prenatal yoga. It would make my wrists hurt, even after doing the modifications they recommended and made my sciatic pain worse. So, I do my elliptical workout, some weights and every so often I go swimming (which I also hate). Basically, if it's an exercise that everyone recommends for pregnant ladies, I've hated it. Just do what works for you and whatever keeps you moving.

I'd highly recommend finding something you enjoy! Just because you didn't like that prenatal DVD doesn't mean you hate all exercise. You deserve to be active in a way that makes you feel good and happy! I hope you find something like that. Don't be afraid to keep trying new things until you find something you like.

I don't like extreme working out. I only work out if I enjoy it, burning and aching are not what I call enjoying it lol. I have found that pregnant I love the water, wether it be the pool or the bath tub. I just love the way I feel in the water. I went for a walk last night too and it was great!

I recently discovered and really enjoy Sunner Sanders workout DVD - it is pregnancy appropriate but challenging enough! All you need are handweights or an exercise elastic.

I would say that walking is the best IMO. I just try to ensure I get 3 miles in everyday and I'm good.

Walking outside or on the treadmill has been just about my only form on exercise since getting pregnant. Sometimes I do light weights with my arms, but I'm usually a slacker. My best trick for the treadmill - only allowing myself to watch certain shows when I'm walking, so if I want to see more, I have to walk more :)

I'm gaining a lot, but aside from an initial thickening of my legs and arms a little, I think I've avoided looking puffy or chubby so far, and I would guess a lot of that has to do with the walking. So that's motivation too!

I'm very early, so I'm still running and going to be doing weights today. I really want to stay fit but not overdo it... I guess it's different for everyone. I already feel huge since I haven't lost the weight from my last preg that ended in MC. I guess I just force myself to do it and then I feel so much better after. Walking is always good!

Yeah more gentle walking would be a good start alright, god knows you'll be doing plenty of it later on when nothing else is any way comfortable!

Maybe start with just more walking? Window shopping sounds like a fun "workout". :)

Swimming is good. Or go for a walk? Doesn't have to be too vigorous.

I'm with artbee- swimming is just wonderful now (29 weeks). So relaxing, and still exercise if you move at all rather than just enjoy floating around!

I swam a lot, and did water zumba. Your body will feel so much better in the pool! Now when you get out.... that's another story.

So, after the OB casually mentioned my enormous weight gain over 4 weeks (ooops), I decided to do something about it. I'm eating better (more healthy foods) and I decided I would try some prenatal yoga I saw on Netflix streaming. UGH - Awful! A. I have no flexibility. B. My wrists ache when I lean on them and C. I just...hated.every.minute of it! It was uncomfortable and not something I'm used to doing.

Does anyone else hate exercise as much as I do? What do you do to combat it?
