Egh being sick is the worst. I'm sick now too. I didn't take anything when i was sick (pregnant) and it took weeks to get better. Hopefully the meds the doc said you could take will work. But get some rest. and maybe drink OJ

Oh my gosh, you sound like you have what I just had and it lasts FOREVER! I was really sick for four days and I'm STILL getting over (this is week 3). I didn't take anything though because I was only 5 weeks pregnant when I got sick and I was scared to take anything. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Sorry to hear you're under the weather. I also suggest the neti pot. It's great help in relieving congestion/sinus pressure.

If you are really desparate and brave enough, lots of people use neti pots (those things where you flush saline through your nasal cavities). They say it works wonders.

Ok, I have a horrible cold. I'm so congested, my whole face hurts. My nose is running like crazy. I'm sneezing. And having a horrible time breathing. And though I took my temperature and it read normal, I feel like I have a fever. I'm 15 weeks, so I called the on-call OB yesterday to find out what I could take (since I slept about 3 hours on Saturday). She said Tylenol cold and sinus, Dayquil, and Nyquil are all ok. I tried Dayquil yesterday and that didn't to squat, but at least the Nyquil helped me sleep. Today I'm trying the Tylenol stuff.

I feel just awful, and really debated about coming to work, but don't want to burn through my sick days before maternity leave. Any tips from anyone out there?
