@jetsa: I am so, so sorry. What's funny, is I am the one who wrote this post 1.5 years ago and I don't even remember feeling this way! I am sure I did, but man, pregnancy and childbirth amnesia is an amazing thing. Everything feels just right once your baby is in your arms.

Hang in there, mama. You're doing a great job!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: trust me, I know how you are feeling. I think by 34 weeks I was totally done. I was prepared to work til the end, especially with it being my second pregnancy and I thought I was an old pro... But I ended up stopping work a few weeks before my scheduled induction at 39 weeks. Seriously it is like torture. I took a lot of walks, did a lot of shopping and got manis and pedis. I ate a lot of yummy food (tough to do since I had gd). Anything to get you to the next day. Don't feel weird, it is soooooo hard!!

@rainbow sprinkles: You can do it! I had awful pelvic girdle pain for the last 2.5 months of pregnancy. I could barely roll over in bed without feeling like my bones were shattering. I was in such pain getting out of bed, walking any short distance and climbing stairs. But ... the pelvic pain completely disappeared the day after LO was born. In 5 weeks you'll hold your LO in your arms. You are strong and you will get there.

In terms of taking care of your child, I would personally declare 'perfect mommy' bankruptcy and just put on a constant stream of educational tv and other low effort distractions. I would ask your husband to make or help you to make simple meals to get you through the day without much effort on your part. Basically, I'd figure out the bare minimum I could do to keep my child safe, fed, and entertained, and I'd do it. Make a safe space for the toddler to play while you lay on a couch. Basically try to arrange life so that you can get as much rest and do as little as possible.

When you're suffering at the end of a pregnancy, you've got to do what you can.

I'm sorry :( I'm only 31 weeks and I'm right there with you. My whole torso hurts -- ribs, muscles, skin -- and side sleeping is torture so I'm not getting much sleep. I have no idea how I'm going to accommodate MORE baby in this poor abused tummy of mine and I'm not looking forward to finding out... Plus, I think I see some varicose veins popping up and I'm NOT happy about that. Things have been so easy up to now that I feel bad whining but pregnancy and I just aren't a good fit.

I'm right there with you. I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and am just ready to be done. My pelvis is doing the same thing, making it hard to stand on one leg, walk up/down stairs, etc. I live in a 4 floor townhouse, so you can imagine how fun it is getting around, especially to my bedroom on the top floor. I can barely turn over in bed because it hurts my pelvis so much. And my hips are sore all the time. So sleep has gone to complete crap. I also have reflux that's ramping back up. I've spent the entire morning really regretting the one cup of very light coffee I drank this morning. I woke up at 5:30 am and would really like to take a nap, but every time I lay down the reflux makes it impossible.

On top of all that, I have GD and am in a constant battle with food and my blood sugar.

I did put a heat pack on my crotch (shoutout to @MrsTiz for using her favorite word) last night, and that actually helped. And I just took a zantac for the heartburn which has made it calm down a little. My OB did say I could take prevacid, so I may need another round of that - maybe ask your OB if they're ok with something preventative?

I keep telling myself just another few weeks too. But damn, I want this baby out.

Yep, I'm complaining.

I'm 34 weeks and I feel like I can't go on. I'm exhausted, and I already want to stop working. Every day wears me out. I get a 4 week maternity leave, so stopping work before I deliver isn't an option.

I have a separating pelvis, and moSt of the time I feel like I can't move. I can't walk up stairs.

My husband works nights now and being alone with LO all day and then doing dinner/clean-up/bedtime all by myself is killing me.

I have Braxton hicks all day long. I can't sleep at night. I have horrendous acid reflux.

In the vanity department, I see my stretch marks grow and deepen every single day. I keep hoping I will give birth so my skin will stop ripping apart.

I'm sorry. I had to throw this out there to all my HB mama friends and commiseraters and encouragers. How can I make the next few weeks fly by? Coping tips?

5 weeks. I can do this.
