@Bao: I've known WOHM moms that did reverse cycling where their bebes ate almost all their calories at night. And it's how we've gotten through nursing strikes. =)

@runsyellowlites: This is good to know. I left LO last night and in the 14 hours she was away from me, she had 2oz of BM from a bottle....she apparently just wanted me. She did have a bit of solids though.

P rarely gets a bottle bc I loathe pumping but she'll take one just fine when I leave her with my mom or mil. Sometimes she won't eat much & she'll just wait for me.... I've never worried about my length of away time though. I send a bit & if she doesn't drink it then I know she'll catch up when she gets home (bf babies can get their needed calories anytime in a 24hr period).

Can you just do one bottle of formula every few days that way you don't have to pump, but he can still be using the bottle regularly? I totally hate pumping, so I get it. Ugh.

At 10 months, P won't take a bottle either. But, she is eating solids now, which helps when I have to leave her, for sure.

I stopped pumping around 6 weeks because I got thrush and didn't want another thing to add to possibly having to replace (all the valves, membranes etc!) and never picked it back up. Now LO refuses the bottle and it's giving me anxiety..I need to go to the dentist, lol!

I even bought the stupid $18 Calma nipple. Fail. Next baby is getting one bottle a day or week, at least. Everyone warned me...and nursing only was and is easier..but now I feel like I may be screwed. lol.

But I decided to stop pumping. My daughter went on a bottle strike when she around his age and my son has started fighting bottles a bit.

Now that my milk is crazy flowing (enough for both kids) I just don't feel like pumping any more! Maybe I'll pump once a day and give him one bottle/day?

I don't plan on being away from my kids for long periods of time, so eh. I figure why not.

Am I crazy? Am I asking for another 12 month bottle strike? HAHA.
