I can only imagine how tough that would be! :( But I know she will not cry every day, the little ones there will be her friends and make her laugh. Eventually she'll spend the day laughing with her friends and be so happy to see you when it's time to go home.

Thanks guys. I know it's best for her for many reasons. It's just hard, I feel like I'm abandoning her in a way. Totally irrational.

@Mediagirl- she's in a home daycare. The woman is a really sweet mom of 2. She was formerly a pre-school teacher. She's only got 3 kids, one of which is only there 2 days a week. So I'm happy knowing she'll be able to give her a lot of individualized attention. They kids are 1.5, 3..5 and 2. They lil ones make me nervous around her! It's not like they know boundaries. Ughhhhhh.

Thanks again for the support :)

*Hugs* I have been there!! Trust me, it will get better sooner than you think!! My daughter was 6 months and cried when I left her. I left in my car, sobbing, and could barely see where I was driving because I was crying so much. But by the third day she was just fine and was back to the normal schedule that she had at home, too. So once I saw that, I was just fine with it and we have been happy with day care ever since. You will see soon!! Don't worry mama! You won't have to live in your car. :-)

charlie didn't start daycare until he was 21 months, but it was so hard that first week because he could talk! it got better the second week, better still the third week, and by the fourth week he didn't even care if we left.

stay strong! they say it's harder for the parents than it is for the kids. your LO will have so much fun! :)

Aw, I'm so sorry it was so hard! I can't imagine how that feels and am not looking forward to that day!! Was she in a small daycare where all the kids are in the same room?

And I am a MESS. I know people do it everyday. And I know (in theory) it's supposed to get better. But I'm sitting at my desk at work and I'm so sad! When I left she was screaming. It was awful. She's so used to quiet mornings and the 3 kids at the daycare providers house were so excited to have her there that they were just too intense. They were handing her toys (she's only 4 months old), petting her head, etc. Really sweet and friendly but still, too intense. I was so uncomfortable but didn't want to tell the kids to back off.

Ugh, it was so tough! I just had to vent here. I tried venting to my mom but she didn't answer and all she said via text was "stay strong". K, good talk mom :o/ hahaha

For those that have been here before, when did you start to feel ok with dropping your LO off at daycare? And when did baby become more comfortable with it? If she cries everyday I'm just going to quite my job and we'll live out of our car, hmpph!
