We had singletons but this would have applied anyway: the best type of support that we got when we had #2 was my MIL spending quality time with #1. Those early weeks of giving her attention and helping her transition set the stage for a good relationship between my kids, and while we were prepared for the baby issues the number one issue we were nervous about when I was pregnant was helping lo1 get used to life as a big sister!

Congratulations to your friend! I definitely still remember the look on my OBs face when she had to tell me there were two in there
What helped a lot was actually that towards the end (and it would have been awesome in the first trimester too) when my DH got help with our older two so he could tackle things I couldn't anymore like laundry or even just to give him a little break too because he really was handling basically everything.

This is very sweet of you. I know my friend Bs girls had major issues (in utero surgery and they were really early) and so did she (during birth). I think she kept them at home for a year. You could pop in and say hi to her for some advice. Food is the answer to most questions maybe bring dinner 1x a week and play with D. Or have him over for a few hours on the weekend for a play date. I mean you will have your hands full too.

You guys!! I just got a call from one of my closest friends that they got the twins news at their u/s this morning. We were so excited to be pregnant with baby #2 at the same time, and now they're having 2&3!!!

I don't know how twin parents handle this news - within like 45 seconds I went from thinking they were lying, to crying, to laughing, to having dry mouth, lol.

I'm excited to read through some of the twin threads here to see how I can support them. They already have a 3 year old (we do too), so I'm guessing a lot of our help will be in the shape of helping them with LO1. If you have any tips for supporting them, I'd love to hear!
