I am going to follow your other thread, too! :silly: I'm scared about #3 for all the reasons you listed. :grin: Unfolded laundry (i.e., clutter and mess in general that I don't have time to address), child care expenses (nanny; im considering private school, etc); and just a general wanting to get past the baby stage (but this is crazy, because I love love love these babies and the baby stage!). So its so hard to tell if the current "burdens" are enough to keep me from having a #3! I'd actually do 5/6 if DH was on board...but he wanted 2/3 so I guess 4 is our compromise! Three has definitely been a lot...but we also had them pretty close together (we had a 3 year old and a 19 month old when DS3 arrived!) I know it will be easier someday...but for now I had to learn where to prioritize (I'm lookin at you, laundry basket that has sat full of clean, unfolded clothing) FWIW, I am a SAHM so childcare expenses aren't a factor. If we had daycare expenses, I am 100 sure we would rethink 4 kids!</p> <p>Sorry, that probably wasn't much help. I think part of me is addicted to the excitement of a new baby, which is why I am so ready to add another! TTC was one if the absolute worst mindfucks of my life. I'm going to throw out an unpopular opinion. OPKs, charting and all the hyper scrutiny as to timing and CM and temping and intercourse can be really damaging to the conception process. It made me (already very Type A) completely consumed by what (I thought) was happening. Looking back, I wish I had never started analyzing everything so. Trying to control a situation so frustratingly out of your control is a slippery slope.
