<description>&#60;p&#62;I have mixed feelings on this sort of stuff. The tag line under the video is everything I dislike about adoption &#34;family saves children&#34;.  The video doesn't necessarily reflect that from what the parents say, though the kids seem to have internalized some of that... And I'll grant that children with disabilities surely do face a harsh life in their native countries... So that may play into the perspective.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;But too often we feel like we're doing the world a favor by adopting, but there are downsides too to taking kids out of their native cultures or &#34;collecting&#34; kids in order to save their souls or their equivalent.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I don't mean to be a downer. They seem like a great family, but I've seen the dark side of adoption too... So I would hate to over romanticize what this family is doing.
